LUMINAR by Paolo Gentilini is a multimedia exhibition that transports viewers into a post-apocalyptic world where a lone hero searches for light amidst the remnants of a moon-worshipping civilization. Inspired by the blood moon and sci-fi cinema, the exhibition emphasizes the art of filmmaking, giving visitors the feeling of stepping onto a “live” film set—without the cameras.

The exhibition features 8 large-scale photographs (1.5x2m), immersive art installations, sound effects, and special effects, all designed to recreate the atmosphere of the digital works. Visitors walk among dark, steampunk-inspired sculptures, a glowing moon-carved human head, and other metallic props, feeling as if they are part of the story. A special video projection showcases the artist’s process of blending VFX with live-action photography, adding a deeper layer of insight into the creative journey.

LUMINAR challenges viewers to engage their senses and follow the light, much like the hero depicted in the photographs, who navigates through darkness in search of clarity and purpose.
